Emelyne Umunoza Gasana

Emelyne Umunoza Gasana is an Assistant Lecturer at University of Rwanda,
College of Science and Technology, School of Science, Department of Mathematics.
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Mathematics, Statistics
from Kigali Institute of Science of Technology, Rwanda. She holds a Master’s
degree in Technomathematics from Lappeenranta University of Technology,
Finland where she specialized in data driven modeling and business administration.
She recently started her PhD in Mathematical Statistics at Linköping
University, Sweden.
Emelyne is currently a member and the Treasurer of the Rwandan Association
of Women in Science and Engineering (RAWISE). She is also a member of the
Organization for Women in Science for the Developing countries (OWSD) and
a member of the World Economic Forum Global Shapers from the Kigali hub.
She likes listening to good music and watching a nice movie and spending
quality time with her loved ones. In her own words on her passion :
“Mentoring and advising younger ones keeps her mind fresh”.
