Dr. Marie-Christine Gasingirwa

Dr. Marie-Christine Gasingirwa- PhD holder in Biomedical and Pharmaceutical
Sciences (University of Namur-FUNDP-BELGIUM), MSc Degree in Agricultural
Biotechnology (University of West Texas-AMU- USA), BSc (Hons.)- Zoology
and Biochemistry(University of Nairobi-KENYA). She has authored a number
of scientific articles in different international journals. She is holder to a number
of professional certificates in diverse domains : A ‘Diplôme de la Langue
Française, a Certificate on Conservation Education, and several Certificates
on General Radiation Safety Training, Environmental Health and Safety. She
has represented Rwanda in regional and international fora for the promotion
of Science, Technology and Innovation. She serves on National Technical and
Steering Committees of different Higher Learning Institutions both Public
and Private ; is Vice-Chairperson for the National Commission for UNESCO ;
Founder member of the Rwanda Academy of Sciences (RAS), and currently,
Vice Chairperson of the RAS ; Founder member of the FAWE (Forum for African
Women Educationalists- Rwanda Chapter). Currently serving on the Executive
as the 2nd Vice Chairperson ; member of the International Scientific Committee
on Science and Climate of Change in East and Horn of Africa Regions and
the Governing Board of EASTECO.
